Yesterday was pretty nice. My partner's work got pushed back (and then they kept pushing it back in a very annoying way, which made them drive all the way down there just to be told to wait even longer) so we went and got some food from a local place that does some good hot dogs! We'd been trying for around a month to go and get their 'Slaw Dog' which is a chilidog with coleslaw on top of it, and every time we tried they were either out, or had closed early! But yesterday we finally got them, and they were pretty good!
After that I took another trip to my favorite little thrift store and found a wonderful dress that I can't wait to find an excuse to wear!
Once we got home and relaxed for a bit, my partner ended up making their way to work (and eventually coming back home, then leaving again for a sub 4 hour shift) and I messaged the new discord I'm in to see if anyone wanted to draft my cube! I had one person who did, and she and I did a draft where I forced my pet deck (Red Green Heroic) and I won most of our games!
After that, she messaged her partners and they joined us for a 4 person draft (with 4 bots to fill in the empty slots)! It took a good bit longer, since her partners didn't have Cocketrice downloaded and hadn't used it before, but the games were fun! I ended up drafting a Blue White Blink deck that was just a bit too slow to get things done cleanly. The other three had drafted a Temur deck, Mono Green Ramp, and White Black Tokens!
By the end of the night (I spent way too long playing and I'm exhausted now) everyone had a good time and that made me quite happy. I got to get the queer magic player achievement of playing with a trans lesbian polycule! I may try and get more games with them this weekend, so long as I don't fall asleep at work.
