catching up

Bit of a longer post but there's been a few things I wanted to make posts about but I just forgot or didn't get around to it.

Like, we tried the Buldak spicy carbonara fried rice and it was sooooo good, blew our expectations out of the water! We got the bottle of the carbonara sauce cause the rice was so good!

I'm also taking a little break from street fighter. Turns out bad habits die hard, and not making the changes you need to make and constantly being punished for it can do a number on your mental state real quick. I just have such a hard time not pressing stand heavy kick while playing Akuma, cause if the opponent doesn't know to just block it crouching and punish it it's incredible. It's an automatic meaty button, a block infinite, a long range punish, a button check. I got complacent hitting it, but now that I'm in a slightly higher rank it mostly just becomes an automatic lose the game button, because I keep hitting it and giving my opponent free opportunities for throws or combos starting with heavy buttons. It's a hard habit to break and it's holding me back.

I'm also trying to get next tuesday off, cause apparently there's gonna be a night market in the same town that runs the farmers market I go to, and it sounds fun to go there and see if it's any different and spend some time with my partner!

I've also done some damage to my main PC, leading to my steam deck becoming my main pc. I tried moving my OS to my ssd and did something wrong, and now my computer is even slower and has more issues. I can't even factory reset it, I tried and it just refused to do it. I think the long term goal is to learn to build my own pc and put the Steam OS on it cause I really like it and it isn't stinky windows.

On the bright side, I found a little app on Steam OS that plays hourly animal crossing music, and you can have rain sounds and it plays a little bell each hour, and it makes me happy! It's called Nook if you wanna find it on the little Discover software center thingy!

Other than all that things are alright. The weather has been fantastic and it makes me excited for the beginning of fall, with all the beautiful colors and the crisp cool weather. Kinda dreading winter, but we'll cross that frozen bridge when we get there.
