Early thoughts on Magicon Vegas News
I haven't watched the full panel, and obviously the weekend is only just getting started, but man, some of this news is good and some of it is kinda crushing.
MSRP coming back is obviously good, but it shouldn't have been removed in the first place. Foundations looks so cool, I'm trying to stay excited about it.
The Universes Beyond news feels so sad to me. Magic has already been plagued by sets and stories with extremely shallow settings and stories, so having even less Magic and having half of every set be an outside IP makes me sad. Feels like a monkey paw curled when I wished I could play more than commander at game stores.
This news honestly makes me want to take the Street Fighter cards out of my cube. I like them but I want a place to enjoy what the Magic universe has to offer, and I guess if I want an experience without Universes Beyond, I'll have to make it myself.
I'll probably make another post after I watch the panel, just cause I wanna be able to see everything they talked about.
