felt super cute
Went out with my partner today in our continued quest to get some slaw dogs (slawgs). They were completely sold out of everything so our quest continues. We also checked out a recently opened book store that was super busy, and a hibachi place we've been eyeing for a while. The hibachi was super expensive, but it was good. Def not something to get very often.
After all that we went back to my favorite thrift shop and I found a super cute skirt, a cute top, and a kinda button up sleeveless denim dress. The dress was too tight to fit buttoned up, but looks really nice unbuttoned which is super nice. I also decided that I want a tube top cause I wanna be able to wear button up tops open cause it looks cute, so I took an old shirt in my closet that I never wear anymore and my partner helped me cut it into a tube top! It kinda turned into two tube tops, cause the bottom of the shirt worked well, and they cut the middle so the graphic was still intact, though it's a but loose.
I tried on the new skirt with the tube top and the long sleeveless denim jacket and I looked sooooooo good! I even took the part that had been cut with the graphic and tied it into a bandana to hold my hair back. It's such a cute outfit I loooove it!
I actually felt cute enough to go wear it out, so I went to the rooftop bar I've been checking out and got an overpriced drink to sip on for a while. Then after doing that for a bit, enjoying the night breeze and the fragrant mocktail, I went and checked out some local EDM music thing. It was very loud and bright, which made sense. Wasn't my jam so I only stayed hiding in the back for a bit, but at least I gave it a look!
And I got to play some Forgetful Fish (mtg format) with my partner, which made me suuuper happy! The proxies all look super good and the art is gorgeous. It'll def be something to try and introduce people to at the card shop, it's such a fun format.
Now I'm comfy in bed with my outfit in the laundry so I can wear it to the card shop tomorrow for a commander game! I threw together a neat mono red storm deck that'll probably be ok, nothing too crazy. It only really gets crazy if I add a second color, but I didn't wanna build anything that might be annoying to play against. Just something for the vibes.
