funny end to the work day
So I gotta start with yesterday evening for this.
I was working and had a little break in the workflow, and saw a rectangular piece of cardboard in the cardboard trolley thing. I took it out and decided to doodle on it with marker, making it a menu with silly stuff on it like;
Fish Sandwich: $1.50
Car Tire: 1 Fish Sandwich
1/2 Banana: 2 Bananas
Apple: Orange
Stuff like that. Just something silly to maybe get a chuckle out of someone.
Anyway the workday ends, I leave the "Menu" out cause first shift isn't coming in tomorrow so it'll maybe stick around.
Go to today, work is kinda annoying, I'm the last station with orders, and this station has long annoying orders that take longer than usual. I'm just about done, ready to get out early and start the weekend, when the lead tells me that the supervisor wants to talk to me after I'm done, doesn't know what about. I get super annoyed cause I've told the supervisor in the future to let me know what we'll talk about in advance when we're going to talk, cause if I'm not told I get wicked anxious and imagine every worst possible outcome, and I'm being told this when I'm already ready to leave, and I know that the supervisor can ramble a bit so it might take even longer to get out.
I take the long walk up to the supervisors office, and he has my silly menu hung up above his desk with a bunch of other 'art' he has from other coworkers. Essentially some other person threw a fit cause I leave my little cardboard signs around and things, and the supervisor doesn't care cause he understands they're harmless and silly and just there to break up the monotony. He goes on a bit of a rant calling the menu 'abstract art' and going on a spiel about how it's anti-consumerist and it's silly cause I just made a silly sign and he's giving it infinitely more praise than it's worth. I leave his office with my mood totally flipped cause I was tired and grumpy and expecting bad news, but instead I just got a goofy tangent and my supervisor now has a new piece of 'art'.
It was silly, but I feel like my day is much better and I'm in a nice mood now.
