Meh book
I started a new audiobion today and unfortunately I'm really not enjoying it.
The characters have no motive, aren't interesting, and act randomly.
The setting is bare-bones and shallow.
The opening ove the story is so odd that I legitimately thought I may have skipped a few chapters.
It all reads like an overly extended tumblr post.
Unfortunately I'm not enjoying it at all, which isn't that crazy cause there have been other books I haven't enjoyed (one was bland but the narrator was like, asmr whispering the whole book to me) but the reading is by the same person who did the Monk and Robot books so it's a shame that this feels super hollow in comparison.
I think I'll have to put it down and find something else to occupy me for the rest of the workday
