Neat Winston Draft idea
So as someone who plays magic in the year of 2024, I love draft, but typically just get to Winston Draft, cause it's a way to draft with only 2 people, and most people are playing exclusively commander in paper these days. I have a few Conspiracy cards in my cube and they typically don't work as well in Winston Draft. But I had an idea for one of them, Cogwork Librarian.
So typically how it works in a standard draft, is that if you draft it, you do so and reveal it to everyone, then later in the draft, if you see a card you like in a pack, you can swap the Librarian with it and take that card, in addition to your normal pick. But in Winston Draft, you take an entire pile of cards, so you aren't just picking one.
I think what I'll try in the future is, when you pass a pile in Winston Draft, if you want one of the cards in it, you can swap it with the Librarian before looking at the next pile! It sounds neat, makes the card do something interesting, and at the very worst I can just decide it's a bad idea and not do it again!
