vacation day 1!
Today was the first day of our little 4 day vacation in the nothern part of the state! It was a pretty simple day. My partner drove their family and I (4 of us total) about 3½ hours.
It was fairly smooth, just a stop for food and another reststop! I got a hot cocoa from the gas station and it was quite nice! Then we got to the hotel, and right after my partner drove me to a local card shop for the reality fracture pre-release!
I got my kit, and built a pretty decent black green deck with a red splash for Konstrari Charm and Stingerquill Charm! My promo was the new black Liliana, and I had two of the new green Edgar, so I felt pretty good with a good chunk of creatures and some removal! Game one I went 2-0, my opponent was having mana issues both games, but they were quite nice to chat with! It was their first pre-release, since they mostly play commander! Game two I went 1-2, but I still felt confident in my deck, just kept drawing lands instead of removal for my opponents Titanbones! Game three was very good! My opponent was playing a red white deck, and it felt like we were both constantly trying to edge out small advantages! They had the new Chandra's Emberling, and it was a race to keep my Edgar larger than their cat! I went 2-0 in that match, but the games were very good and very close!
All around I went 5-2, and as someone who hasn't done prerelease in a long time, it was great! I love this set!
Now I'm back at the hotel, snuggled up with my partner. It's quite cozy. Hotel pillows are always sooooo comfy!
Not much planned for tomorrow, but as long as I'm with my partner I'll be happy <3
