yeah i'm not gonna finish this
I got a bit further into the book and I just cannot make myself get through a second half of this slog. None of the characters were likable, they often did things that made zero sense or were counterproductive to their goals, and they said the same things over and over again.
I'm not going to name the book (though I guess you could email more for more info if you like, mostly just not sharing cause I don't wanna be mean to the author/people who like the book), but spoiler warning anyway. [Insert huge block of text I removed cause I felt like it was too mean spirited and whiny]
Normally I wouldn't care that much but this book had a tiny kernel of an interesting story in it and I was hoping to see it through to the end but with how nonsensical things are written I have zero hope of of seeing a satisfying conclusion.
Done reading for tonight, but I took my bookmark out of this one and I'm happy I grabbed a second book in case this one wasn't good cause damn it's awful.
